The Essential Park Bag: My Favorite Must-Haves for Walt Disney World

Blog + Disney

When heading to Walt Disney World, having the right items in your park bag can make all the difference in making your day more enjoyable and comfortable. First and foremost, I always bring a UV umbrella. With Florida’s intense sun, this little tool provides both shade and protection from harmful UV rays. It’s a lifesaver during those midday breaks when you want to stay cool while waiting in line or walking between attractions. Plus, it’s compact enough to toss in my bag without taking up too much space!

Another essential for me is travel-sized sunblock. I apply it regularly throughout the day to avoid sunburns, especially since the Florida sun can be quite unforgiving. I also pack a pair of stylish sunglasses to protect my eyes from the bright rays and keep me looking chic while strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. A quick tip? I always choose a pair with polarized lenses to help reduce glare, especially when I’m navigating the various outdoor attractions and parades.

Along with the sun protection items, I also make sure to pack a few health-related essentials. First, I always carry gum, as it’s surprisingly hard to find in the parks! Whether it’s to freshen up my breath after a delicious snack or just to chew while waiting for a ride, gum is a must-have. I also never leave home without tinted chapstick, which helps protect my lips from the sun while keeping them moisturized. A travel-sized battery charger is another must, since I can easily spend a full day in the park, and my phone is my lifeline for photos, maps, and coordinating with friends.

Lastly, I never forget to bring a few health essentials to keep things running smoothly. Ibuprofen and antacids are lifesavers in case of any discomfort or an upset stomach from overindulging in park snacks. Hair ties are also essential for keeping my hair out of my face during rides or those hot, humid days. And, of course, I always have a small pack of band-aids on hand in case of blisters from all the walking. With these must-haves packed, I’m ready to make the most of my magical day at Walt Disney World!
